Are You Eligible?

If you are licensed in the UAE, you are welcome to submit your CSR and Sustainability projects through the Sustainable Impact Challenge submission page by clicking the ‘Register Your Project’.

Criteria

Applicant

Be a legal resident of the United Arab Emirates

Have an active UAE Pass account

Have a permission from your organization to register and submit CSR, ESG and Sustainability projects.

Organization

Have an active trade/civil society license in one of the seven Emirates.

Not be under any legal or criminal investigation.

Not in any active contractual business with MAJRA – National CSR Fund or the UAE Ministry of Economy and Tourism in the last 12 months.

Project

Be a project relating to CSR or Sustainability.

Solve a clear and tangible challenge in the UAE.

Must be a project that is either ongoing or completed in 2025. New or upcoming projects will not be considered.

*Note that sole proprietorships, freelancers, and cooperatives are included.

*To allow space to recognize new achievements, 2025 prize winners (First, Second and Third place) are not eligible to apply to this cycle 2026.

Public Voting

Projects are published for public voting. The top 100 projects with the highest votes will be shortlisted and move forward for qualification and verification. Public voting closes on April 30, 2026 at 11:59 PM (UAE time).

Internal Review

Shortlisted projects undergo a detailed review by Majra and subject matter experts. Evidence is assessed to validate project implementation and measurable impact.

Award Ceremony

The top 20 projects are recognized at the award ceremony. Winners and special mentions are announced and celebrated for their national impact.

Food Security Cost of Living Environmental Sustainability
HeroGo is the UAE’s first food - tech platform that rescues surplus groceries and pantry goods, delivering them to homes and businesses at reduced prices. By combating food waste and offering more affordable groceries, HeroGo supports a circular food economy and strengthens national food security.

In 2024, they diverted over 410 tons of food from landfills, created 1 million meal equivalents, and reduced CO₂ emissions by over 1,000 tons. Their smart platform personalizes deliveries, learns household needs, and helps consumers shop more sustainably - saving money while saving the planet.

Knowledge Empowerment Family Support Community Inclusion
Thiqa’s 'Dirham Makes a Difference' initiative turns every teaching hour into a donation that funds education for students in need. Through their CSR fund, they support underprivileged children, single mothers, and teachers by allocating AED 1 from each class toward scholarships and training. Already, the initiative has sponsored 40 students, supported 50 mothers, and trained 5 teachers. By 2030, the goal is to support 1,000 students, empower 1,000 mothers, and deliver 100 development workshops - building an ecosystem of equitable, inclusive education for all.

Environmental Sustainability Digital Innovation Climate Resilience
This homegrown innovation uses AI - powered drones to restore mangrove forests across Abu Dhabi, planting over 9.5 million seeds to date. Built with modular, repairable tech from repurposed plastic waste, the drones reduce costs, improve planting success rates, and enable local ownership through a licensing model. The platform empowers communities with training, drone kits, and real - time data to expand restoration globally. With partners like ADNOC, ENGIE, and the Environment Agency–Abu Dhabi, the project is scaling impact, advancing biodiversity, and contributing to the UAE’s 2030 goal of 100 million mangroves.

FAQs

Majra is calling upon private and third-sector organizations of all sizes in the United Arab Emirates to showcase their CSR and Sustainability projects for a chance to win the Sustainable Impact Challenge Award and a share of over AED 1,000,000 in cash prizes and bonus services.

Click on “Submit a Project” and log in using UAE Pass. Once logged in, add your organization and project information. After submissions close, eligible projects will be published for public voting. The top-voted projects will advance to the internal review phase conducted by Majra and subject-matter experts.

Organizations are encouraged to mobilize their communities and networks to vote for their projects. Public voting helps identify projects with demonstrated engagement and visibility. The top 100 voted projects will be shortlisted for internal review. Each user may only vote once for the same project; repeated or duplicate votes from the same user will not be counted.

During the submission process, there is a section where you can upload evidence. Evidence may include photos, testimonials, media coverage, impact reports, or sustainability plans. Submitting evidence early may help expedite the review process and strengthen eligibility for Qualification and Verification recognitions.

Private and third-sector organizations licensed in the UAE are welcome to submit their CSR and Sustainability projects, provided the applicant is authorized to submit on behalf of the organization. Academic institutions, sole proprietorships, freelancers, and cooperatives are also eligible to participate.

Organizations must:

  • Have a valid UAE license
  • Not have active contractual engagements with Majra during the eligibility period.
  • Not be under legal or criminal investigation

Projects must:

  • Relate to CSR or Sustainability
  • Provide a solution to a tangible challenge in the UAE
  • Be ongoing or completed in 2025
  • Demonstrate credible implementation and impact
  • Pass Majra’s internal review process

Applicants must:

  • Be legal residents of the UAE
  • Have an active UAE Pass account
  • Have authorization from their organization.

Yes. The Challenge is open to organizations of all sizes, including large corporations. While large organizations are not evaluated within top 20 recipients of cash-award, their eligible projects may receive Majra’s Qualification Certificate and Verification Stamp following internal review. These recognitions validate credible and measurable impact and contribute to national reporting on sustainable impact in the UAE.

UAE Pass is used to authenticate applicant identity and ensure secure login during registration and submission. Applicants must have authorization to submit projects on behalf of their organization.

Yes. Majra has the right to publicly list recognized submissions on their platforms following the ceremony to support market visibility, stakeholder awareness, and sector learning.

There are many impactful CSR and Sustainability initiatives taking place across the UAE, yet many remain undocumented or unrecognized. Majra aims to highlight these projects, celebrate organizations driving positive impact, and showcase national contributions that support the UAE’s sustainable development priorities.

The submission period for the 2026 cycle will end on the published deadline. Any extension to the submission period (if granted) will be communicated through Majra’s website and official channels.

If shortlisted, Majra will review your project in detail and begin the Qualification and Verification process. This includes assessing the project’s implementation, evidence, measurable impact, and alignment with national priorities. Supporting evidence will be required to validate outcomes.

The top 100 projects will be considered for Majra’s Qualification Certificate and Verification Stamp. The top 20 projects will be recognized. The top three projects will receive cash prizes of:

  • AED 500,000 for First Place
  • AED 250,000 for Second Place
  • AED 100,000 for Third Place

Additional “Special Recognition” awards may also be granted. All recognized submissions will be listed on Majra’s platforms.

Projects are initially filtered based on the number of votes. The top 100 will be shortlisted. Majra will then assess each project based on evidence of execution, measurable impact, scale and scope of beneficiaries, duration, and contribution to national priorities.

Yes. The First, Second, and Third place winners from the 2025 cycle are not eligible to apply to the 2026 cycle to allow new projects to be recognized.

Projects may be recognized through:

  • Qualification Certificates
  • Verification Stamps
  • Top 20 Recognition (bonus services)
  • Cash Prizes for the Top 3 projects.

Yes. Participants receive email notifications at key stages, including submission confirmation, shortlist status, evidence requests, and award outcomes.
