Impact Seal Campaign Terms and Conditions
Introduction
Welcome to the Impact Seal Campaign (“Campaign”), organised by Majra National CSR Fund (“Majra”), a United Arab Emirates (UAE) government entity dedicated to promoting corporate social responsibility (CSR) and sustainability initiatives within the UAE. The purpose of this campaign is to recognise and certify organisations that demonstrate exceptional commitment to sustainable practices and impactful CSR activities. By participating in this campaign, organisations have the opportunity to earn the prestigious Impact Seal certification, which is awarded at Silver, Gold, or Platinum levels based on the evaluation of their CSR efforts.
Eligibility
To participate in the Campaign, organisations must be legally established in the UAE and cannot be sole proprietorships, freelancers, or cooperatives. Participants must be in good legal standing with no ongoing legal or criminal investigations. Additionally, organisations must have been operational for at least one full calendar year and must maintain their legal status throughout the evaluation period. All submitted materials must be in Arabic or English.
Campaign Duration
The Campaign will commence on 26 February 2025 and conclude on 26 May 2025. All applications must be submitted within this designated application window. Late submissions will not be accepted. Key deadlines, including the application submission deadline and the award ceremony date, will be communicated to participants in due course.
How to Participate
To participate in the Campaign, an authorised representative of the organisation must log in to the Majra Entity Portal using their personal UAE Pass, which is used for authorisation only. Once logged in, the representative (“User“) must provide the organisation’s authority-issued trade license or certificate, along with other required information, including the Company Profile and Impact Declaration detailing the organisation’s CSR activities. The User must complete the Campaign application honestly and provide evidence as requested.
If the organisation qualifies as a Small and Medium Enterprises under Majra’s classification (based on the Dubai Department of Economy and Tourism classification), a tailored version of the Campaign application will be presented. The completed application must be submitted within the designated application window.
Responsibilities of Participants
Participants are expected to provide accurate and verifiable information in their applications. False declarations may result in immediate disqualification and potential legal action. Organisations must maintain the standards required for certification throughout the certification period and participate in knowledge-sharing activities led by Majra. Regular updates on sustainability initiatives may be required, and winners must notify Majra of any major organisational changes.
Prize Award
Organisations that meet Majra’s minimum criteria will be evaluated for Silver, Gold, or Platinum certification based on the information provided in their applications and the assessment and evaluation metrics. The certification is valid for two years, and Majra reserves the right to revoke the certification if necessary.
Winners will be required to follow Majra’s branding guidelines when using the seal and must report significant changes in operations during the certification period. A member of the company’s C-suite must attend the award ceremony, and attendees may undergo a security clearance.
Liability Disclaimer
Majra shall not be liable for any damages, loss, or injury resulting from participation in the Campaign. Participants agree to indemnify and hold Majra harmless from any claims arising out of their participation in the campaign.
Disqualification
Participants may be disqualified from the campaign for providing false information, failing to meet eligibility criteria, not maintaining legal status, or not adhering to the campaign’s terms and conditions. Majra reserves the right to disqualify any participant at its discretion.
Publicity
To the extent permitted by applicable law, by participating in the Campaign, the participant grants Majra the right to use their information, including their name and address, as well as photographs, pictures, portraits, likeness, voice, and/or statements made by the participant or their representatives about the campaign and/or Majra, for promotional, advertising, and publicity purposes related to the Campaign. This right will be valid for a period of two (2) years from the date of the participant’s entry and may be exercised at any time, in any media now known or hereafter developed, including but not limited to live television, worldwide, on the World Wide Web, and the Internet. This usage may occur without notice, review, or approval, and without additional compensation, except where prohibited by law.
Intellectual Property
Participants retain ownership of their submitted materials. However, by participating in the campaign, participants grant Majra the right to use their organisation logos, project information, and other submitted materials for promotional purposes. All submitted information will be treated as confidential, and Majra may use anonymised data for research and reporting.
Amendment and Termination
Majra reserves the right to modify, cancel, or terminate the Campaign at any time. Participants will be informed of any changes through the official communication channels. Any modifications to the terms and conditions will be effective immediately upon posting on the Majra website.
Dispute Resolution
Any disputes arising from or in connection with the Campaign shall be resolved through arbitration in accordance with the rules of the Dubai International Arbitration Centre (DIAC). The arbitration shall be conducted in English, and the decision of the arbitrator shall be final and binding on both parties.
Force Majeure
Majra shall not be liable for any failure to perform its obligations under the Campaign due to unforeseen events or circumstances beyond its control, including but not limited to natural disasters, acts of war, terrorism, or government actions.
Miscellaneous
If any provision of these terms and conditions is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect. Participants agree to comply with all applicable laws and regulations in connection with their participation in the campaign.
By participating in the Campaign, participants acknowledge that they have read, understood, and agreed to these terms and conditions.
